CNC Automatic milling and turning

CNC AUTOMATIC TURNING

The machining of plastics and high-performance plastics (such as the acetal resin POM-C) by turning allows the conversion of raw material into a finished product.

Through CNC turning of plastics, either a single part or a series of finished parts can be manufactured depending on the requirement.

Complex work-pieces are ideal for our CNC lathes with single or double support.
Thanks to driven tools we can process a wide range of materials with high precision and quality (CNC turning of plexiglass, other plastics and technical polymers).

The cost for CNC turning of plastics and high-performance plastics depends strongly on the quantity and the material to be machined.

Application areas

  • Pharma and medical technology

We manufacture components from plastics or high-performance plastics for medical devices, e.g.: main blocks of medical sterilizers made from POM-C (acetal resin).

  • Mechanical engineering / mechanical equipment

CNC MILLING OF INCLINED SURFACES – LINEAR

Linear milling of inclined surfaces is one of the most frequently used and efficient methods for machining grooves, pockets and closed cavities – completely without drilling.
This method requires simultaneous feed in two axes: axial (Z) and radial (X or Y).

CNC MILLING OF INCLINED SURFACES – CIRCULAR

Also known as spiral interpolation / helix interpolation / orbital cutting.
In circular milling of inclined surfaces the axial feed (Z) is performed in defined steps whilst simultaneously a circular movement in the X and Y axes is carried out.
This machining method is an effective alternative to classic drilling. The circular method is often preferred to the linear one, because the reduced radial cutting load enables more uniform machining.
The helix interpolation allows pure constant-speed milling (by left rotation) and ensures better chip removal.

When is milling of inclined surfaces used?

When manufacturing grooves, bores or inclined cuts in plexiglass or other technical plastics.
